Miss Vivian Tran | CEO & Academic Coach

Vivian Tran was born and raised in Oakland, California. As a daughter of immigrant parents, she quickly became fluent in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. Growing up she had aspirations to study the ocean and thought Hawai'i would be the perfect place for that. She decided to make the move in 2015 where she flew to O'ahu to attend the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Her plans took her on a different journey. In 2019, she obtained her BA in Women's Studies and founded her own company that same year. Turkey Brain is a private tutoring company that customizes lesson plans for each student's needs and goals. Her goal is to educate the world by opening minds one page at a time. Vivian always had a passion for utilizing her entrepreneurial expertise to support people in need. It is in Hawai'i where she would fall in love with the island's culture, people, and desirable work-life balance. While building Turkey Brain, she continues to further her career by becoming a real estate agent in 2021 with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawai'i Realty. Aside from work, she spends time exploring the great outdoors through hiking and going to the beach or relaxing at home with her pets.

Miss Kaikaina Kenike Allen | Tutor

Kaikaina Allen is a born and raised Hawaiian native to Oahu. As a daughter of two girls, she grew up going to work with her mother at the geography department at UH Manoa. During her time at Aiea High School, she was a member of the Hawaii Mock Trial Association and the Hawaii Speech and Debate Association where she placed 1st in an international debate competition. After graduating she moved to Oregon to attend George Fox University double majoring in neuroscience and philosophy. Due to health issues, she wasn’t able to continue her secondary education, moved back home and shifted her focus to art, environmental sustainability, building community, and learning more about her Native Hawaiian heritage. Currently, she works with New Earth Mystery School, a school dedicated to assisting highly sensitive individuals in nervous system training and meditation techniques and she is in the process of creating an apothecary specializing in plant medicine. Kaikaina holds a special place in her heart centered around uplifting her community and educating others to discover and utilize our gifts and talents to tap into the richness of life.

Miss Kaliya Hayle | Tutor

Kaliya Hayle was born and raised here on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. As the third oldest of seven children, she holds a great value in family and took on a lot of caregiving responsibilities at an earlier age, for her younger siblings. Growing up here on the islands, she had a natural love for the land and sea. Throughout her four years of high school, she studied Natural Resources and aspired to join the Navy and become a Marine Biologist. She pursued this career for a year or so before realizing it wasn’t for her. After moving away from home, she joined the work force and went to school for a few different things before discovering her passion for Early Childhood Education. In 2022, she obtained her AS in Early Childhood Education and is working towards her AS in Psychology. While in school, she works for August Ahrens Elementary School as a Paraprofessional Tutor and substitute teacher. In this position, she services families and their children from grades one through six. Her goal is to eventually obtain her BA in Early Childhood Education and psychology utilizing her expertise open her own early childhood care facility. She enjoys working with children and families as she finds fulfillment in positively influencing students, supporting them in shaping their futures, sharing knowledge, and helping them discover their individual interests through learning. Aside from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog.
